The farmers after a long hard day of butchering hogs would take the large cast iron kettles that they had been boiling the meat in and using a little lard, would fix a slightly sweet, slightly salty delicious mixture of popcorn!
Blue Ridge Kettle Korn originated in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is a family owned and operated business that is quickly becoming known in central Virginia! The old German recipe has been slightly modified but the slightly sweet, slightly salty taste still remains. Blue Ridge Kettle Korn is unbelievably good and will stay fresh for weeks! It can also be frozen and will remain crispy and tasty for months.
